A recent article in the New York Times discussed the increasing woes for Internet giant Yahoo. To be honest, the only thing I ever use on Yahoo as a consumer is Flikr but, as mentioned on The Daily Search Cast, Flikr is not always as easy to use for the not-too-savvy individual as some would hope. For those who do not already have a Yahoo account, creating a Flikr account can be a deterrent and their are too many other services out there for consumers to spend time filling out yet another profile.
As someone in the industry, I must say that I am not unhappy to read such an article about Yahoo as, their search advertising platform leaves a lot to be desired. Google is simply light years ahead of Yahoo in terms of technology and customer support.
The question is, who are you Yahoo?
That fact is that Yahoo does a lot of things well but excels at none of them.
